What do our Volunteers do?
Like our fosters, our volunteers play a vital role in being able to continue our rescue's daily operations. Laundry, yard maintenance, cleaning, dishes, dog-walking, food-runs, and more are only some of the many important facets that our volunteers assist us in.
What we look for most in our volunteers is the drive and willingness to help our dogs. The work is not always clean. Our dogs deserve to frolic in a clean yard, which mean we must pick up the waste throughout the day. New arrivals, often coming in with matted fur, or dirt and mud embedded in cuts, must be cleaned and given a warm bed to lie down and decompress in. Bedding, sometimes soiled, must be washed and cleaned so it can be returned nice and warm. These are the quality-of-life standards that our rescue stands by and strives to uphold.
